Moscow is huge and offers visitors an incredible amount. Kremlin, Red Square, churches, cathedrals, museums and restaurants: The #russian metropolis offers a huge range of #cultural attractions and insights into a #history rich in tradition.

In #moscow the Metro is the easiest and fastest way to get from A to B. Traffic in Moscow is crazy. Not only in the center. Standing in traffic jams for hours is normal and needs nerves.

How much time should you plan for your trip?

You can't discover Moscow in one day. The city has far too much to offer. It is better to spend several days there. We recommend at least a long weekend - better a whole week.

Best travel time for Moscow

Moscow lies in the cool moderate climate zone with continental climate. This means that the winters in the city are very cold, but in summer it gets quite warm. If you want good weather, we recommend a city trip to Moscow between the middle of May and the end of June with pleasant warm days and nights. In July and August, Moscow is also worth a trip, but the humidity is high.

A special feature in Moscow: You have to have a look at the beautiful Metro stations. We especially like these metro stations:

  • Okhotny Ryad
  • Komsomolskay
  • Mayakovskaya
  • Novoslobodskaya
  • Belourusskaya

Even if there is a lot to see in Moscow itself, a longer city trip is worth a trip to the Moscow suburbs. In Snegiri, where the Battle of Moscow raged during the Second World War, you can admire the Russian and German tanks that still exist today.
