The Lusatian Lakeland is an artificially created chain of lakes. One part of it is Lake #Senftenberg: seven kilometers of well-kept sandy beaches and green sunbathing lawns offer plenty of space for vacation dreams.

Lake Senftenberg was created until 1972 by flooding the former open-cast lignite mine Niemtsch. Today, the former open-cast lignite mine has long since established itself as a popular recreational area.

The family park at the Senftenberger See offers especially attractive offers for #camping guests with children. With its own shallow-sloping sandy #beach, the family park is ideal for a nature-oriented recreational vacation with the #family. Located in a beautiful pine forest, the campsite is part of a complex with numerous bungalows and many recreational activities.

With various water sports such as #sailing, surfing or stand-up paddling, both experts and beginners will get their money's worth. Hobby captains can go faster by #motorboat and those who like it more comfortable can take a seat on one of the two passenger ships and enjoy the view over the water. Lake Senftenberg is also popular with anglers and #divers.

The 18-kilometer circular trail around Lake Senftenberg is varied and #family-friendly. The mostly asphalt and flat route takes cyclists and hikers past harbors and viewpoints. Along the way, restaurants and snack stands invite you to take a break. For the little cyclists there are plenty of playgrounds along the circular route.
