Do you want to experience #hollywood feeling? The Universal Studios in Los Angeles is the first Universal theme park to open and you can get a great look behind the Hollywood film sets. The studios are ideal for seeing locations from famous movies, including many classics like "King Kong" and "Back to the Future". The park consists of three parts: Shooting studio, theme park and studio tour.

At the gates of Universal Studios Hollywood is the Universal CityWalk with more than 30 shops, 30 restaurants, six nightclubs, live outdoor entertainment, a cinema with 19 screens and a modern concert hall. The "5 Towers" offers free events all year round. 

Another top highlight in our list of Los Angeles attractions is the Griffith Observatory and park. The Observatory is an educational institution that combines an exhibition with a planetarium.

In the evening you can watch the stars and during the day it is a great vantage point to see the #hollywoodsign. The entrance is free. With about 1.5 million visitors a year, it is the most visited public observatory in the world.

The observatory has three main departments: the planetarium, the laserium and the "Hall of Science". Rocks from Mars, Moon and meteorites, a model of the Hubble telescope and much more can be seen there.

Griffith Park near the observatory is 17 square kilometers large and houses the Hollywood Sign. The Hollywood Sign was initially used as a marketing idea, but in the meantime it has become the sight par excellence in Los Angeles. Now you will probably ask yourself: Where do I best position myself in front of the world-famous sign? Sure, you can see the lettering from many places in the city. But that doesn't mean that you can take a good photo. You'll have to get closer. A good place is for example the parking lot of the Griffith Observatory or on the Canyon Lake Drive. Behind the exit "Mulholland Highway - Canyon Lake Drive" you will find a great viewpoint with a view of Lake Hollywood and the writing.

Also a must in Hollywood: the Walk of Fame. 15 blocks long on both sides of Hollywood Boulevard, the Walk of Fame is dotted with stars and souvenirs of America's greatest stars on the ground. By now, more than 2500 celebrities from the entertainment industry have been immortalized on the sidewalk. 

The idea came from E.M. Stuart, the volunteer president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, in 1953, and seven years later the idea had become truth. Meanwhile, the Walk of Fame has become one of the most popular destinations in America with a huge collection of stars, including even Lassie or Donald Duck.

At the latest since the series "Baywatch" with icon Pamela Anderson, the city of Santa Monica in the west of Los Angeles has become a popular travel destination. Not only because the legendary Route 66 ends here, but also the pier attracts many travellers.

The Santa Monica Pier consists of the Municipal and Pleasure Pier and is considered the city's landmark. The Pier is located directly at the Pacific Ocean and crosses the State Beach of Santa Monica.
